| It’s been the draw of many diets. Imagine eating more to lose weight. The dream diet is finally a reality according to some fitness experts. The ideal diet does not restrict favorite foods. In fact it recommends consuming one’s cherished delights. The diet is about eating carbohydrates; such as breads. The wonder diet is referred to as the 3-Hour Diet.
Food intake is a vital aspect of losing weight. The 3-Hour Diet involves eating every three hours. It concept is to refresh the metabolism. When the body is deprived of food, it goes into starvation mode after three hours. Between food consumption, the body transforms into it natural 'starvation protection mechanism' where it begins to burn through muscle. By eating every three hours, the metabolism remains revved up so the body blazes through muscle versus fat.
For instance an ideal food consumption day may consist of:
-At 7 AM, eat breakfast within an hour of waking
-At 10 AM, eat a small snack
-At 1 PM eat a snack
-At 4 PM, have a moderate snack
-At 7 PM, eat dinner at 7 and small treat
-Then do not eat for the rest of the evening
Although, the innovator/fitness expert of the diet, Cruise devised the nutrition plan to help people consume a balanced diet, the portions are important, as well.
The recommended portions of the 3-Hour Diet’s main meals of the day (morning, afternoon and evening) include:
-Carbohydrates should be a cup size
-Protein should not exceed the size of a one CD case
-Vegetables and fruits should be the size of five CD cases
The 3-Hour Diet plan is receiving thumbs up from the likes of Dr. David L. Katz, M.D. of Yale University School of Medicine. Katz thinks that the diet is the missing link of today’s extreme planet of weight loss. Katz is known as a nationally acclaimed nutrition expert who focuses on preventing obesity and other related medical illnesses.
Essentially, there’s now a good excuse for everyone to eat more than three meals a day.
